A Comprehensive Overview of Our Roofing Installation Process

  • 1. Property Protection & Tear-Off

We begin by carefully removing your old roofing materials while protecting your landscaping, siding, and outdoor spaces with tarps and plywood. This ensures a safe and clean worksite from the start.

  • 2. Deck Inspection & Preparation

Once the roof is stripped, we inspect the decking for damage, rot, or weak spots. Any compromised wood is replaced so the new roofing system is built on a solid foundation.

  • 3. Underlayment & Flashing Installation

We install waterproof underlayment, drip edge, and flashing in critical areas (valleys, chimneys, skylights) to provide maximum protection against leaks and weather intrusion.

  • 4. Roof System Installation

Shingles or specialty roofing materials are installed according to manufacturer specifications. Ventilation systems and accessories are added to ensure long-term performance, energy efficiency, and durability.

  • 5. Quality Control & Final Cleanup

A project manager performs a full walkthrough and inspection to verify workmanship meets our standards. The property is cleaned thoroughly, magnets are used to collect nails, and the homeowner is given a final review of the completed project.

Clean Property Guarantee

We leave your property exactly as we found it — or better. Our crew performs a full cleanup of shingles, materials, and nails using magnetic sweepers and hand removal, ensuring your yard, driveway, and landscaping are safe and spotless.

Quality Control Inspection

Before we consider the job complete, our project manager conducts a detailed final inspection. This step verifies that every aspect of your roof installation meets our workmanship standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local building codes.

Proof of Impact Resistant Shingle

If you’ve chosen impact-resistant shingles, we provide documentation confirming that your roof was installed with materials designed to withstand North Texas hail and wind conditions. This proof is often valuable for insurance records and potential premium discounts.

Certificate of Completion

At the end of your project, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion as official confirmation that all roofing work has been finished to professional standards. This document provides peace of mind, serves as a record for your home’s improvements, and can be valuable for insurance or future resale purposes.

Roof Installation Day FAQs

  • What time will the crew arrive?

The crew and onsite project supervisor typically arrive between 6:30–7:30 AM to begin setup and property protection.

  • Do I need to be home during the installation?

No, you don’t have to be home, but we do recommend being available by phone in case we need to confirm anything with you. If you have a gas line, we will coordinate access to your attic during the installation to ensure all safety requirements are met.

  • What do you do to protect my property during the install?

We do our best to tarp all landscaping, cover AC units, protect windows and patios, and do a full property walkthrough before and after installation.

  • Will it be loud during the installation?

Yes, roof installations are noisy. We recommend planning accordingly, especially if you work from home, have pets, or small children.

  • Will my insurance premium go up if I file a claim?

It depends. Storm-related claims are usually classified as Acts of God and typically do not cause your individual premium to increase. However, insurance companies may raise rates for your entire area based on the storm’s impact.

  • Do you clean up after the job is done?

Yes. We do a full magnetic sweep for nails, remove all debris, and perform a final quality control inspection to ensure everything is clean and complete.

  • How will I know when the job is finished?

The onsite project supervisor or project manager may perform a final walkthrough with you, review the scope of work completed, and ensure your satisfaction before closing out the project.

  • What if it rains during installation?

We monitor the weather closely. If there’s any high risk of rain within 24 hours of our installation, we’ll reschedule the installation to the next available date to avoid additional delays.
