Guided Claim Support

Supporting You Through the Insurance Claim Process.

Navigating the insurance claim process after storm damage can feel overwhelming, but Phoenix Storm Restoration is here to help. Our hands-on claim support services ensure you have the documentation and guidance needed to work effectively with your insurance carrier.

  • Detailed Documentation

Our team has the training and expertise to recognize storm-related damage from hail, wind, and debris — and more importantly, to document it in a way that aligns with insurance carrier standards. We understand what adjusters need to see, how to properly mark and photograph storm damage, and which details must be included in carrier-ready reports.

This guided approach ensures that your claim is supported with clear, professional documentation, helping the adjuster evaluate your roof accurately and efficiently. By providing the right evidence from the start, we help homeowners streamline the claims process and reduce delays in moving forward with repairs.

  • In-House Supplement Team

At Phoenix Storm Restoration, our In-House Supplement Team brings extensive experience in reviewing insurance scopes and building accurate estimates that align with the damage documented on your property. Using Xactimate® software, the industry standard for insurance claims, along with trusted measurement reports, our team develops carrier-ready documentation designed for efficient adjuster review.

This comprehensive approach ensures nothing is overlooked. From minor repairs to full restorations, our goal is to deliver a complete scope of work that covers all necessary items to restore your home to better than pre-loss condition. By managing the details up front, we help homeowners avoid unnecessary delays and ensure the claims process moves forward smoothly.

  • Step-by-Step Guidance

We know that for many homeowners, filing a storm damage claim is unfamiliar and sometimes overwhelming. There are always questions—and sometimes fear—when navigating the process for the first time. That’s why our team provides step-by-step guidance, explaining each stage clearly so you feel confident the process is being handled with expertise and care.

Our approach keeps you informed, supported, and reassured, while also emphasizing your responsibility as a homeowner to mitigate further damage. From emergency protection to final restoration, we help you understand how your homeowner’s insurance is designed to work for you—and manage the process with the goal of achieving the best possible outcome.

Phoenix Storm Restoration Claims Process

As a HAAG Certified Contractor, we’re trained to identify storm damage using the same standards as your insurance carrier. Our inspections are detailed, honest, and designed to give you full visibility into your property’s condition. This inspection is 100% complimentary and comes with no commitment. We believe in empowering homeowners with the facts—so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

2. Call Insurance

If damage is found, we’ll help you file your report with your insurance carrier and guide you through the entire process.

  • Your adjuster will contact you to schedule an on-site inspection and review your coverage.

  • Be sure to notify your Phoenix Storm representative of your adjuster meeting date & time.

3. Adjuster Appointment

During the adjuster meeting, the field adjuster conducts a property inspection to determine whether the damage meets the criteria for storm-related damage and matches the date of the event.

Our team will be present at this appointment to:

  • Meet & build rapport with the adjuster
  • Share our inspection findings and documentation
  • Assist in identifying all storm-related damage — not just the roof, but also gutters, windows, siding, garage doors, fencing, and more.

4. Review Scope of Work

Once your insurance carrier provides a scope of loss, we’ll review it line by line with you. We’ll explain the materials, labor items, and any differences between what’s approved and what’s needed. If something was missed, we’ll request the appropriate supplements on your behalf.

What to Expect After Submitting Insurance Claims

If your insurance provider agrees with our inspection and has approved the initial scope of work, here’s what happens next:

  • Review the Scope

The insurance will send you an initial scope. We’ll walk you through the approved repairs, line by line, to ensure they accurately reflect the damage and include everything needed to restore your home correctly.

  • Project Planning

We’ll complete a detailed project consultation to schedule your installation within your preferred timeframe and confirm your material and color choices.

  • Finalize Agreement

Once everything is confirmed, we will complete the agreement and schedule your installation. No money will be exchanged until we start the project, the materials are delivered, or we begin the supplementing process.

  • Pre-Installation Attic Check

As a safety measure, we’ll inspect your attic to identify and mark any gas lines, A/C lines, or other sensitive areas. This information will be communicated to the crew before installation begins to ensure your home is protected.

If the insurance provider disagrees with our inspection finds, here’s how we can help!

  • Review the Response

We’ll help you understand why the decision was made and whether anything was overlooked.

  • Request a Reinspection

If damage was missed or not properly documented, we can assist in requesting a second inspection and support you through the process.

  • Retail Repair Options

If you choose to move forward without insurance, we’ll provide a fair retail quote with clear pricing, financing options, and upgrade opportunities.

  • Stay Storm-Ready

Sometimes the damage doesn’t meet the criteria now, but may after a future event. We’ll document your file and stay in touch for future support.

Supplement Process

In-House Insurance Supplement Team – Working for You, Partnering with Your Carrier

At Phoenix Storm Restoration, we believe the best results happen when everyone works together — the homeowner, the contractor, and the insurance carrier. We partner with your carrier to ensure a smooth and accurate process, but our primary focus is on securing that your home receives everything it needs after a storm.

  • 1. Review the Scope of Work

Once your insurance carrier has approved the project after the adjuster meeting, we carefully review their scope of work. If we notice any missing items, we flag them for supplementing.

  • 2. Collect Documentation

We take detailed photos and gather all the necessary information to support the supplement. With our experience, we know exactly what photos and details the insurance carrier requires to approve the claim smoothly.

  • 3. Build the Supplement

Using Xactimate (the same software used by insurance companies), we prepare an accurate and fair supplement so pricing is transparent and consistent.

  • 4. Submit to Your Carrier

We send the supplement, along with all supporting documentation, directly to your insurance carrier — handling it all on your behalf.

  • 5. Finalize the Scope

We work with your carrier until the scope of work is updated and finalized.

Insurance Claims FAQs

  • Should I file an insurance claim for my roof?

After your inspection, we’ll help you determine if filing a claim makes sense based on the damage to your roof and property.

  • Can you help with the insurance process?

Yes. We can support you through the process. Our team provides thorough inspection documentation, handles any necessary supplement submissions and is available to meet with your adjuster to ensure all damage is assessed.

  • Do I have to pay my deductible?

Yes. Texas law (HB2102) requires homeowners to pay their insurance deductible. We will never offer to waive or absorb it, as it’s both illegal and unethical.

  • What if my insurance doesn’t cover everything?

We’ll review your scope of loss. If needed, we’ll work closely with the insurance company to supplement any missing items.

  • Will my insurance premium go up if I file a claim?

It depends. Storm-related claims are usually classified as Acts of God and typically do not cause your individual premium to increase. However, insurance companies may raise rates for your entire area based on the storm’s impact.
